It’s a rainy Sunday here in Stowe. Football fans are rejoicing for a greater excuse to stay indoors glued to their TV, while the rest of us are bummed that it’s too wet to ride our bikes and too warm for this wet stuff to turn into snow. I figured I would try to brighten everyone’s day with more coverage from the Interbike trade show in Las Vegas! This time around we’ll look at Easton and Giro. Giro has been a staple brand for Skiershop and Bike Stowe for years, providing helmets in every price point and style desired. With the success we’ve seen with their helmets, we will be providing the Stowe area with much more from Giro (like shoes!) as well as more in stock representation of Easton components.
There are some new products and some subtle changes to the current line for the 2013 season. Take a look at the pictures, and as always, stop by the shop if you have any questions on what you see or what you don’t see!
- With the introduction of a new all mountain shoe line among other new models, Giro now has an extremely all encompassing line of shoes.
- A colorful display of Giro’s finest cycling shoes
- A new shoe for Giro. Flat pedal riders rejoice! Skate style shoe with a sticky Vibram sole!
- The Chamber, a new shoe from Giro, looked pretty snazzy in this white and red.
- The Chamber was a collaboration with Aaron Gwin and utilizes heel cushioning and a Vibram sole resulting in a high performing all mountain shoe.
- Extremely versatile shoe combining high performance riding details with the walkability and comfort of a hiking shoe. A great shoe for riding in the Stowe area!
- The Factor is a high performance road shoe featuring light weight Teijin microfiber and an Easton EC90 carbon fiber sole. Weighs in at 255 grams. Shown here in the new Highlight Yellow colorway.
- The new Feature helmet from Giro features more coverage than a traditional helmet, especially for the back of the head and neck and is very reasonably priced at $75.
- A trusty favorite in the Giro line is back with new colors and for the first time XL sizing! (thanks Giro!)
- The Remedy is back and now comes in carbon fiber!
- Close up of the new carbon fiber Remedy from Giro.
- An impressive helmet with an impressive price under $300.
- Giro’s line of road helmets remained relatively unchanged with the exception of the addition of the Aeon, replacing the Atmos at the top of the line of helmets.
- A whole new take on aerodynamic helmets combining a smooth front profile with two different lower tails.
- Dave couldn’t resist trying on the new Selector!
- A selection of new Easton handlebars
- Dave checks out some new Easton wheels. Look for these in the shop soon!
- Giro had a selection of their new Highlight Yellow helmets at the Dirt Demo! Looking great!
Don’t forget to register for The Leaf Blower! It’s only a week away!! We just recently found out that Rocky Mountain Bicycles will be joining us and bringing a fleet of demo bikes for anyone to try! Feel free to stop by the shop early if you want to take a spin on a demo bike before your group ride. Demo bikes are available for group rides as well, but allow for some extra time for bike setup. When you’re going on an afternoon long ride, it’s important to have a demo bike tuned well. Thanks Rocky Mountain!
Keep your fingers crossed that we’re getting this rainy weather out of the way so we can have perfect sunny skies for The Leaf Blower! See everyone in a week!
